My pen huion lagging

While drawing or using my huion 640p graphics tablet it gets a lot of lag, I tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers but it doesn't fix the problem.

  • Hi Ruby, I'm sorry to know that you experienced a lag with your tablet. May you please provide the following the information:

    • Driver version you've installed
    • Your tablet's firmware version. You can check this article on how to find it: How To Know My Huion Pen Tablet/Display Firmware Version
    • Your computer's operating system and its version
    • The computer software you are using and its version. Example: Photoshop 2020, Krita 4.3, etc.
    • Do you experience the lag in all of your software? 

    Kindly try the following steps that may either help resolve your issue or at least help us determine the cause of your issue:

    1. Properly uninstall the current driver you have, unplug your tablet from your computer and restart your computer. Try using your tablet without the driver installed and check if you still experience a lag. This will help us determine if the lag is caused by the driver.
    2. Please try to install the driver for the Kamvas 22 Plus which you can download from this link: It is fine if it is the driver for the Kamvas 22 Plus; it will still work with your H640P tablet. 
    3. If you have access to another computer, please try connecting your tablet to another computer and check if it is still lagging, with and without a driver. This will help us check if it is just with your computer or if it is consistent with other computers as well.

  • I tried to update the firmware but it keeps lagging, I also tried to use my graphics tablet on another computer but it always keeps lagging a lot. In the end, I decided to get my graphics tablet refunded
  • Hi Ruby, it is unfortunate that you decide to return your tablet, but we respect your decision. The lagging may be caused by several factors and most often than not, it can be resolved. Sometimes, a defective pen may cause the lagging which can be resolved by a pen replacement. If we could just have a better idea on the lagging issue you encountered, we may be able to find a resolution or otherwise, conclude whether you need a tablet replacement. What we can assure you is that we will help you resolve your issue, one way or another.

  • very bad experience with Huion delay a lot with apps like Gimp and Krita and in some apps works fine but with the mentions apps i cant draw anything i tried more than a solution but the issue still exist finally i decide to use the mouse rather than Huion Tablet because it useless to me and i can't trust Huion products  i wish i bought the Wacom instead

  • @Ruby & @Not Player If you guys are using Microsoft Windows simply try unchecking the Use Windows Ink workspace check box from Huion Pen tablet Application, Or entirely disable from windows settings @Orliza Amodia.

  • Hi, my huion HS611 seems to be lagging when Im using photoshop.The brush seems to be delaying the stroke when I paint and the brush also seems to malfunction by moving on its own and painting while It also opens up other tools that im not even clicking on.Please let me know how to fix this issue.I am unable to paint with concentration and its causing zero productivity in my work progress.

    I just got my Huion HS611 and I've been having on and off issues with it. Sometimes the pen would lag so much it's unusable. Please how do i fix this.

  • Hi Abimni Boudeli, the lagging issue may be caused by either the tablet driver, your drawing software, your computer operating system, your pen or tablet itself. In order for us to determine the cause, kindly try the following steps:

    1. Please uninstall the tablet driver, unplug your tablet from your computer, then plug it back in. Then test if your tablet still has lagging issue even without the driver. (NOTE: Please skip this step if you're using MacOS Catalina or Big Sur since your tablet won't work without the driver in these operating systems.)
    2. Try using a different drawing program or reinstall a different version of the drawing program. 
    3. Try using the latest driver version for your tablet which you can download from this link:
    4. If you have access to another computer, please try using a different computer unit and check if you still experience the lag.

    If the lagging continues even when you perform the above-mentioned steps, please send an email to with the following information so we can help you further:

    • Serial number (found at the back of your tablet, right after S/N)
    • Your order number
    • Version of the tablet driver or drivers you've tried
    • Your computer operating system and version
    • The software you are using and the versions
    • A summary of all the steps you've done
    • A short video that captures the lagging issue. Please make sure to capture your tablet, your pen and your computer screen on the video so we can clearly see the lag.

  • Found a solution to this if you are on Windows 10/11

    - Go to display settings by right clicking on the desktop


    - Make sure your tablet screen is selected, for me its the Kanvas 24


    Scroll all the way down to the bottom and select advanced display settings


    Make sure your tablet's screen refresh rate is set to 60.00 hz, if it's not, change it using the drop down


    This fixed my problem, and I suspected it was something along these lines because the lag appeared to be specially linked to the display, not the pen or any one specific program.

    Surprised by no one at Huion suggested this, I have been trying to fix this for a week on and off while talking directly to Huion support to no avail.

    Should really be something included in their initial troubleshooting checklist or getting started guide windows set my display's refresh rate to 30.00 hz by default and that was the source of the lag for me.

  • Hi, i brought a HUION ispiroy 2M pen tablet. It works properly without the driver. but as soon as i install its driver, it starts lagging, then i have to restart the software. please help me with a solution.


  • Hi Pranjal Anand, I'm sorry for the lagging issue you're experiencing with your Inspiroy 2 M tablet. Since it only starts happening after installing the driver, the issue is due to an improper driver installation. Thus, please follow the steps on these articles: 

    Please take note of the following:

    1. Ensure to uninstall all tablet drivers from your computer, whether from us or other brands. Having more than one tablet driver on your computer can cause conflict resulting to malfunctions such as lagging.
    2. While installing the driver, ensure to disconnect your tablet from your computer, turn off your antivirus, and close all your drawing programs.
