Kamvas 12 pro display static

I have had the Kamvas 12 pro since december with no issues whatsoever. Recently I bought a new laptop. initially there were no problems except for some screen and pen problems I was able to resolve quickly. However, now when I plug in the tablet the display appears and quickly changes into static with what I assume to be an error message. I've mitigated this issue the first time by fixing my cables, but they dont seem to be the issue for this.
