Solved

Driver v15.6.3.132 for Kamvas 13 causes unexpected cursor behavior.

I have a 3-monitor setup, and when I have a drawing program open (Clip Studio in my case) and I'm using another program on one of the other monitors (File Explorer, for example), sometimes the mouse cursor will suddenly jump back to the Kamvas. This happens regardless of which monitor the Clip Studio window is on.

In addition to that, I was also experiencing occasional cursor "hiccups" in Clip Studio, where the cursor would disappear and reappear for a split second while drawing, sometimes causing straight line instead of a curve.

Downgrading to Driver v15.6.3.101 seems to have fixed both problems for me. Just thought I should point this out in case anyone else was running into the issue.

  •  Edit: It still seems to happen after downgrading the driver, but less often.

  • Hi Michael, I'm sorry about the issue you're having with your tablet. Thank you for trying out another driver version, although it is unfortunate it didn't resolve your issue entirely. Kindly try the following so we can eliminate the possible causes:

    1. Do you have another drawing software? Kindly try using another software and check if the issue persists.
    2. Kindly try uninstalling the driver, restarting your computer, then test your tablet on Clip Studio and check if the issue persists without the driver.
    3. If you're using the 3-in-1 cable, please try connecting your tablet to another USB-A port and check.
    4. Kindly update your computer's USB-A driver to ensure your USB-A port works fine.
    5. If you can access another computer, kindly test if your tablet behaves the same on another unit.

Please provide the following so we can check this on our side:

    1. Clip Studio Paint version
    2. Your Windows OS version
    3. If you have other drawing programs where the issue persists, kindly provide the other programs' names and their versions.

  • Thanks for the suggestions! I happened to fix the problem yesterday though. I reinstalled Windows from scratch, and now everything is working perfectly. I think there was a problem with my Windows installation that was suddenly causing conflict with the Huion driver.

  • Hi Michael, thank you for the update, and I'm glad your issue is resolved after reinstalling Windows from scratch. Have a productive day!
