Help PLEASE

I CANNOT get my pen to work on my new kamvas 12!

I have downloaded the huion driver and firmware onto my Macbook pro which is running Mac Os monterey 12.6

I have also loaded the latest Krita program

The program opens on my computer and tablet but no matter what i do, the pen will not connect.
