None of the shortcut keys work

I just bought an inspiroy dial 2.  I am so very disappointed.  Apparently you cannot use separate functions for the dials, they only work on the same function.  And none of the shortcut keys work.  I have tried uninstall/reinstall and used in different programs.  the only button I can get to work is when I change the pen's top button to switch brushes.  Nothing else works.  the tablet draws fine.  Should I just return to amazon and request a replacement?
