Kamvas 12 pro lags but works fine on computer monitor

i recently swapped from my old laptop to an old desktop pc but now my kamvas pro 12 lags a ton. it only lags when i enter any drawing application, and if i change my setting to have my display on my pc monitor, its smooth again. i bought this screen tablet half a year ago and i would like to actually use the screen of it and not my pc monitor. if anyone knows how to fix this please let me know.

tldr: tablet screen lags too much to draw, but works fine if i use my pc monitor as a display instead.
