Tilt for Kamvas Pro 22 (GT221)

 I have been trying to get tilt support for my GT221.
Acoording to this video, the driver update won't do. You need a firmware update.
so I found a firmware update tool

But it stuck at "connect error" no matter what. (different USB port, reboot, different ver of driver...)

I contact support but they provide me a link to a different update tool that can't find the model of my Kamvas,  not till after many useless try I found out that it doesn't even support GT221.(last time I place blind trust to support.)

Anyone else had similar problem updating their firmware that might be able to shine some light on this...?

Basic system info:
(OS, softwares and drivers are up to date)
Windows 10 pro
Kamvas pro 22 GT-221(firmware M175-180831)
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core
Mem 65.4 GB
GeForce GTX 1080/PCIe/SSE2; GL 4.6.0 NVIDIA 462.59
Photoshop 2019 and 2021
Corel painter 2019
Clip studio painter

    Still stuck at the connect error after click "connect"

    After plugging in the tablet, windows made the connecting notification and the driver recognized it but not the firmware tool. 


  • Hi Shumin Liang, kindly try this firmware instead. Also, before opening the firmware update program, please exit from your driver by expanding your hidden icons, right-clicking the tablet driver icon, and clicking "Exit". After which, please make sure that you connect your USB cable to a 2.0 USB port; not a 3.0 one.

    This version worked!!! instead of "connection error" it says "waiting for connection"

    and after I plugged in the usb cable, it found the tablet immediately!

    Now the tablet firmware is updated and tilt works!!
