Huion drawing Tablet H610 Pro V2 won't use stylus cursor point when drawing and uses regular mouse cursor instead.

When I use a Huion Drawing tablet , for some reason it won't use the stylus cursor point and is stuck using the regular mouse cursor even when drawing and also using the desktop.

This issue only happens when The driver for the drawing tablet from huion is used , if that driver is disabled or uninstalled and I just use the built in windows driver with the huion tablet , the above issue goes away and when I am using the huion tablet it does use the stylus cursor point instead of a standard mouse cursor.

So I am wondering if there is some fix for the issue when the huion driver is used. Maybe a registry modification?

  • Hi Divij, I'm sorry about that. When you can only use your pen like a mouse and doesn't draw or write anything, there may be a problem with your driver installation or your pen. Thus, please try the following steps to help us determine if it gets resolved by proper driver installation.

    1. Uninstall all your tablet drivers from your computer, whether from us or other brands. Having multiple tablet drivers on your computer can cause conflict resulting to tablet malfunction. You can refer to the applicable articles from our support site at Huion Support: Setup & Use - General Settings.
    2. Disconnect your tablet from your computer. If you are using a graphic tablet with wireless connectivity, please disconnect the wireless receiver or turn off or disconnect your Bluetooth connection.
    3. While your tablet is disconnected, turn off your antivirus, and close all your drawing programs. Then reinstall the latest driver. You can refer to the applicable driver installation articles from the link provided in Step #1 above.
    4. If your tablet only has 2048 tablet drivers, insure you install the V12 driver version. You can only use V15 drivers if your tablet has 8192 pen pressure.
    5. After you have successfully installed your tablet driver, connect your tablet, and check if it gets detected by the driver.
    6. For Windows computers: When the driver detects your tablet, on your V15 driver, go to Settings > General tab > check if you can find the "Administrator Privileges" button and click it. You can proceed to the next step if you don't see the said button. It means your driver already has the necessary admin access to your computer. For V12, you can easily find it on the bottom area of the driver interface.
    7. For Mac computers: Ensure you follow the installation steps and tick the "HuionTablet' app on your Accessibility settings.
    8. Try changing your pen nib with a new one.

If all steps above do not resolve your issue, please send an email to service@huion.com with the following information so we can further look into your issue:

    1. Your tablet's serial #
    2. If your tablet is within our 1-year warranty, provide your Order #
    3. The driver version you installed
    4. Your computer operating system
    5. The drawing programs you are using and their versions
    6. A short video of your cable connection from your tablet to your computer and then open the driver so we can see whether your tablet is detected or not.
