Windows 10 ink issue

when i install the latest Huion drivers for my kanvas 12 windows seems to view the pen as just another mouse. none of the special ink features work in windows apps. weirdly when i uninstall the driver it all works fine. Anyone know what the issue is?

  • Hi Misaka Misaka, may I know the tablet driver version you installed? Does the driver show "Device connected"?

    My driver version is v14.8.137 and yes the software recognizes the device.

  • Looking forward to hearing an answer for this issue. I would like to use your app together with Windows Ink but it does not work. 

  • Hi Francis Mesina, after checking with our software engineers, I regret to inform you that the function you are requesting is not possible with our driver since the programming will conflict with that of the Windows Ink. The eraser function and the lasso tool in Windows Ink do not have a keyboard shortcut which is the reason why it won't work when our driver is installed.

  • Hi Orliza, Would you mind checking back with your software engineers if this function is really impossible to implement this function ? Without it, it is really difficult (or even impossible in certain cases) to use newer UWP apps such as "OneNote for Windows 10" where you can't use keyboard shortcuts to erase stuff or use the lasso. Also, it seems the groundwork for doing so (virtual hid devices for sending virtual keyboard/pen input to Windows 10) is already there so it could facilitate the implementation.
