gt-191 v2 device is disconnected win 10

Hey. Please help me deal with the problem.

They gave me a graphic monitor gt 191 v2 and it worked fine for several hours. Then, during operation, it suddenly stopped responding to the stylus signal. the application says that the equipment is turned off, the monitor shows a picture, but does not work like a graphics tablet.

I took advantage of the official recommendations from your site, namely:

deleted the application (many times in many ways, including cleaning the computer logs)

installed the application again according to the instructions from your site

changed yusb wire (shdmi wire works well)

tried to connect to two different computers

and even updated windows 10)))

nothing helps solve my problem. The program for the tablet on all devices writes that the device is not connected, and all computers see my graphic monitor as a regular additional monitor.

It can be seen that the problem is purely software, but for two days now I can’t solve it.

  • I'm having the exact same problem. I just got the tablet delivered 2 hours ago. I followed all the instructions. At one point it kept going back and forth from connected to disconnected.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Updated the firmware. I went from a USB hub to directly into the computer USB port. Tried standard USB after using USB 3.0. Nothing.

  • Hi Sofi She and  Michael Fleming , do your tablets work without a tablet driver? And have you tried the steps found in this article: What To Do When Huion Driver Shows Device Disconnected?

Since you already have open tickets, we will further assist you through your tickets if the steps in the said article did not resolve your issue. This requires further test and troubleshooting.

  • Thanks for the reply. Yes, I used your instructions, nothing happened. The tablet does not work without drivers. More precisely works like a screen, but does not respond to the stylus.
  • I got mine to work. Forgot I had an old Huion tablet plugged in. Worked after removing that, and switched to a USB 2.0 port.

  • Hi Michael Fleming, I'm glad that you've got your tablet working now. I'll have your ticket closed now.

Hi Sofi She, I'll further assist you through your ticket since we need to further check on the cause of your issue.

  • I have had my GT-191 v2 for about 9 months and really like it. Got a new touch screen computer, it would not work with it. I did all the things in the suggested article and have uninstalled and reinstalled the soft ware, checked all the cables and connection. The tablet does not get a signal and the computer sees it as an audio device. The driver does not see the tablet and tablet shuts off. Do you have any recommendations? It is a Windows 10 HP Pavilion.

  • Hi Joan Green, may you please provide the answers to the following questions so we will have a better idea on your new computer setup:

    1. Do you have the Pavilion desktop, all-in-ones, or laptop computer?
    2. Are you using an adapter in connecting your tablet cables to your computer?
    3. May you please provide a picture of your cable connections on your computer?

  • I have done everything as Joan and the original poster has done.

I've had this model since 2018, it was gifted to me as I did a review for it on my youtube channel. All was going well until yesterday when it suddenly stopped working in the middle of my work. I don't know what to do.

My pen is non-charging and it is unresponsive. My screen works but my pen will not register. I have installed and uninstalled every compatiable driver from 2019-21 multiple times.

I have updated my USB drivers

    I've swapped HDMI cables

I've done everything in this thread. I have a deadline and I can't afford to replace this as this is how I make a living. Please contact me as soon as possible if we can find a solution.

  • I also have a HP Pavillion Laptop with McAfee installed if this is useful information.

  • Hi Rochelle Dunstan-Carter, I'm sorry to know about your connection issue. May your please answer the following clarifying questions below so I can better assist you:

    1. Have you tried a different USB cable, aside from swapping HDMI cables?
    2. Have you tried using your tablet without the driver?
    3. Does your driver detect that your tablet is connected or does it show "Device disconnected"?
    4. Have you tried changing your pen nib with a new one?

If the driver detects your tablet as connected and if your pen still won't work with and without the driver, we will have to check your pen further. Kindly send an email to so we can test it using our TabletQC software:

    • Serial number (found at the back of your tablet, right after S/N)
    • Your computer operating system
    • Version of the tablet driver you've installed
    • A summary of all the steps you've done

  • Product Info: Model Name: Kamvas GT-191 V2 S/N: 88DD0SH01294 Laptop: HP Pavillion I’ve sent an email with customer support but here are the series of events. I was working and suddenly the pen became unresponsive. I first restarted my computer - nothing changed Then I shut down and turned my computer on manually and nothing changed I then swapped my usb ports and there was no change. I then got a usb extension and used that to connect the usb and there was no change. I dusted all of my items and made sure there was no wire tangling. Nothing changed. I then looked on the internet for solutions, I downloaded and re-downloaded my 3 drivers from the ones available on the site separately. So from 2019 to the most recent one in 2021. There was no change. I also changed the pen nibs and used a different hdmi cable. I don’t have another usb that connects to the back of the monitor via usb. My monitor works fine as a second monitor but my pen is unresponsive and it says “device connected”. I also tried to use the pen without a driver installed and it was still unresponsive. Nothing I have done has changed anything. Its been fine for the past 3 years i have no idea what happened. The only thing I can think of is that the pen has stopped working. I’m unsure on what I can do because I don’t know if I can receive the pen separately or if thats even the issue.
  • Hi Rochelle Dunstan-Carter, thank you for the details. Based on the steps you've done and the results, the most probable cause of your issue is your pen. We will send a software to test your pen further so we can make our conclusion. If the test result would lead us to conclude that your pen is broken, you don't have to worry since you can purchase a replacement pen using this link: Huion Digital Pens. We will help you with the pen model through your ticket since there are 2 versions of GT-191 V2; the 500K version which uses PW500 pen model and the 700K version which uses the PW507 one.

  • Hi, I'm sorry for replying to this old topic but I've got the same issue. I tried everything what you were talking about and it didn't work. So I'm curious if you found the solution?

  • Hi, no problem !! I still have my email connected to this so I hope you see this and hope I can help. I had to just buy a new pen unfortunately :( I have no idea why my original pen just stopped working. If your pen is still under warranty, then be sure to request with a HUION rep to see if you could get a free replacement. Mine wasn't so I had to buy a new one even though I did ask. It was at an inconvenient time for me too, but I've had no problems since I bought a new pen and it connected easily ! I hope you can find a solution or you're in a place you can get a new pen asap ! Hope this is useful and sorry I couldn't be of anymore help !
