I installed the driver before connecting the tablet, I updated the firmware.

I did not understand. You have to tap with the pen.

You can try the following steps if you haven't done it before:
NOTE: When installing the driver, make sure that your tablet is not connected to your computer, your antivirus is turned off and all your drawing programs are closed.

I have the same issue with my H950p
1. HuionTablet_WinDriver_v14.8.165.1387_HID
2. Windows 10
3. Adobe Illustrator
I have set my express keys using the Huion Tablet app according to the shortcuts in the drawing software.
But the express keys are still not working.
The pen is working though.
Please answer the following questions as well:
1. Does the tablet's light turn on whenever you press the press key even when the problem happens? N/A
2. Does you problem happen in all press keys you assign that function to? yes
3.When you encounter the problem, does the tablet driver show "Device connected" still?yes
I have tried all the steps you listed but the express keys are still not working.

my express keys does not seem to be working while my pen is working just fine.

Hi Nobody, may I know the version of the driver you installed? Does the driver show "Device connected"? If it shows disconnected, this is the main reason why your press keys are not working. Thus, please follow the steps found in this article: What To Do When Huion Driver Shows Device Disconnected?

I have an H950P as well, it says "device connected", the pen is working, AND I deleted and re-installed the driver.. still none of the express keys are working.
