The dial controller can work on Inspiroy Dial 2, Inspiroy Dial and Mini Keydial. This article will introduce how to set up and use the Radial function on Huion Inspiroy Dial 2.
Both Huion Inspiroy Dial and Mini Keydial are equipped with a single controller, but Inspiroy dial 2 features dual dial controllers. For Inspiroy dial 2, you can customize three pairs of functions in the driver and set more Radial functions on the computer windows system. The dial controller supports more shortcuts utilities. Okay, let’s demonstrate how to set up the Radial function.
*Note: the Radial Controller Protocol mode is suitable for Windows 10 and its above system
1. Wheel Settings in Windows System
Huion Inspiroy Dial 2 has the same setting method as Inspiroy Dial and Mini Keydial.
①Open Settings in your windows system
②Find Devices in your Settings
③Find Wheel in Devices
2. Default Settings
Here are five default functions: Volume up/down, Scroll, Zoom in/out, Undo, and Add or modify a tool. Each function can be selected by clicking and adjusting through the left and right rotation.
3. Customized Settings
Most functions can be set in Custom Tool; thus, you can set different shortcut functions in various software.
If one custom tool can not satisfy your needs, you can scroll down the Custom Tool of the wheel setting and you can see App tools, then you can add extra software you mostly used.
Here I list the PowerPoint and Photoshop for examples.
- PowerPoint
Step 1: Add PowerPoint app in the App tools.
Step 2: Give your preferred function a name, and set the shortcut combinations you want.
For example, set like the above, which means rotate right is the next page, rotate left is the above page, and click the middle of the dial means present from the current page.
Step 3: When you open the PPT and long-press the center of the dial, you can see this interface, click it to select the PPT presentation function, and begin your presentation.
- Photoshop
The same method can also be applied in Photoshop.
Step 1: Add Photoshop app in the App tools
Step 2: Give the function a name, such as Brush Adjustment, then set to rotate the dial right to zoom the canvas and turn it to the left to shrink the canvas and setting click the middle of your dial to bring you to the brush adjustment interface.
Step 3: Open your working app, then long-press the middle of your dial and choose your named function Brush Adjustment, then you can use it!
You can add several different custom tools in your wheel settings like the above, thus switching various functions freely when you open each drawing software, significantly improving your working efficiency.

4. Radial Function Application Example
- Combined Using with Microsoft Surface
Microsoft Surface is the native use environment adapted to Dial, and the system is Windows, which will be more comfortable to use and reduce compatibility issues.
The advantage of Inspiroy Dial 2 is that you can use dial controller with a pen tablet simultaneously. It would be more helpful to enhance your working efficiency.
- For 3D Modeling
Many functions that need to be adjusted for 3D modeling. Inspiroy Dial 2 can be easily adjusted by the left and right rotation and middle-click functions. At the same time, Inspiroy Dial 2 can easily change multiple soft functions, such as changing the Zoom, Color, and Undo more quickly.
Adding the shortcut keys, Inspiroy Dial 2 is equivalent to adding a lot of other settings in the driver. Compared with a single screen and Dial combination, the shortcut keys and the Dial combination will improve the 3D Modeling efficiency.
- For Painting & Drawing
Although the dial controller has multiple shortcut key functions, but for engineering drawing and painting, Inspiroy Dial 2 with the tablet will be more practical and can achieve various shortcut combinations and utilities.

- Use with Universal Windows Platform (UWP) Apps
