Huion H1060 Plus(2048) – Windows 11 Compatibility Issue & Lack of Driver Support

I am posting this to share my complete experience regarding the Huion H1060 Plus(2048) and its compatibility with Windows 11.

I have been using this tablet for many years, and the hardware is still fully functional. It works perfectly on Windows 10 with proper pressure sensitivity and performance. Recently, I upgraded my system hardware (CPU, motherboard, GPU) and moved to Windows 11, which is now the standard platform.

After installing the Huion driver on Windows 11, I encountered a key technical issue:

The “Support TabletPC” (Windows Ink) option in the Huion driver is disabled/greyed out and cannot be enabled.

This directly affects how the tablet interacts with modern applications and input systems on Windows 11.

I raised a support ticket expecting a technical explanation or workaround for this issue.

Initially, the support team guided me through basic troubleshooting steps such as:

Checking USB connections and cables Verifying device detection in Device Manager General setup checks

However, these steps were not relevant because:

The device is properly detected The tablet is responsive The issue is clearly driver-level, not hardware-level

After this, I was informed that the Huion H1060 Plus(2048) is not supported on Windows 11 and was advised to continue using Windows 10.

This response is not practical for the following reasons:

Windows 10 is reached end-of-life and is not suitable for long-term use. My system hardware has already been upgraded for Windows 11, The tablet hardware is still fully functional The issue is specifically related to driver behavior (Support Tablet PC toggle), not device failure

Instead of providing:

Driver updates Technical clarification Or any supported workaround

The only suggestion given was to continue using an outdated operating system.

Additionally, I was advised to consider purchasing a new Huion tablet. This is not acceptable when the current device is still working and the limitation is clearly due to software support.

From a user perspective, this raises serious concerns about:

Long-term driver support Product lifecycle commitment Software maintenance for existing devices

Older devices that are still functional should not become limited due to lack of driver support, especially when the issue is clearly within the driver/software layer.

This post is to highlight a broader concern:

Huion needs to provide proper driver support or at least clear technical handling for features like “Support TabletPC” on newer operating systems such as Windows 11.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously and considered for future improvements.
