Flickering problem

I’ve only had my Huion Kamvas 13 (Gen 3) for a little over a month, and after sorting out a few initial minor problems, I’ve been loving it, it’s everything i’ve ever wanted— it’s just been a ton of fun to use overall. But out of nowhere, I’m suddenly dealing with a really weird issue that’s driving me crazy! I’ve attached a short video above showing exactly what’s happening— please take a look for me if you can! Basically, as soon as I power on the Huion Kamvas 13 (Gen 3), the screen starts rapidly turning off and on again (like flickering/shutting off repeatedly). It never stabilizes, making the tablet completely unusable right now :( I have no idea what could be causing this problem which is really whats so frustrating… I didn’t do anything different that might’ve triggered this so i’m really confused. Here’s what I’ve already tried (without any luck): • Connected to different Wi-Fi networks (in case it was some weird internet-related glitch) • Reinstalled / switched between different versions of the Huion driver • Double-checked all settings in the driver and macOS display preferences—everything looks normal • Tested the cable thoroughly (it’s the full-featured USB-C to USB-C one recommended by other Kamvas 13 Gen 3 users, bought from Amazon, and it’s the only cable I’ve ever used with it—no visible damage) I also don’t believe the issue is with my MacBook, it’s completely brand new, purchased just earlier this year, and has been working perfectly otherwise. As for the tablet, I’m confident there’s no physical damage involved. It’s always stayed right on my desk at home, never been dropped, transported, or taken anywhere outside, so physical damage seems unlikely. If you could help me out with this problem I would really appreciate it… I already miss using my precious :(

  • Hi, Dana. Thank you for sharing the video. It seems like you purchased a full-featured USB-C to USB-C cable from a different brand. Most flickering issue is due to insufficient power supplied to the tablet. Please try the following steps:

    1. To provide enough power to your tablet, connect the USB-C to USB-A (red end) cable to the upper USB-C port on your tablet as shown below:
    2. Use a power adapter that has an outpu capacit if at least 5V 3A.
    3. Try using another USB-C to USB-C cable.
    4. Or, try using the 3-in-1 cable that came with your tablet. If your Mac doesn't have a USB-A and an HDMI port, you can use an adapter instead:

You can refer to this article: How do I connect the Kamvas 13 (Gen 3)/Kamvas 16 (Gen 3) to my computer/Android device?
