Yes. The Kamvas Pad 12 adopts PenTech 4.0 technology, and the PW600C pen has been specially optimized for this tablet. We therefore do not recommend using other PenTech 4.0‑compatible pens with the Kamvas Pad 12.
What is PenTech 4.0 Technology?
PenTech 4.0 refers to the 4th generation of Huion pen technology, which perfectly enhances pressure sensitivity to 16,384 levels through digital signals transmitted by Huion's independently developed HV200 chip. It also makes the pressure curve more precise to let you draw lines more evenly when you use pressure from 2g initial activation force to 500g maximum force.

PenTech 4.0 also includes these premium functions:

‑ Tilt Auto‑alignment: Keeps the cursor from shifting, no matter at which angle you hold the pen while drawing.

‑ Reduced Pen Tip Size: Minimizes tip‑related visual obstruction as you sketch.

‑ Low Retraction Distance: Retraction distance describes how far the nib retracts inward when pressure increases from minimum to maximum. This value has been optimized to 0.35 mm, effectively eliminating nib wobble during drawing.

Additional key features:

‑ Optional Pen Nibs: Felt nibs provide extra friction to recreate a natural, traditional drawing feel for artists.

‑ Tilt Recognition: When paired with tilt‑aware drawing software, this feature lets you simulate real‑world strokes from pencils, paintbrushes and more.

‑ Magnetic Attachment: The PW600C magnetically attaches to the side of the tablet, making it convenient to carry and work on‑the‑go.

Do I need to charge the digital pen?
No. The PW600C adopts EMR technology. It works straight out of the box with no charging required.
Does the Kamvas Pad 12 support Procreate?
No, Procreate is exclusive to iOS / iPadOS. We recommend using the pre‑installed drawing apps on the tablet.
