Pen won't align with my cursor correctly

I recently downloaded the Huion driver on my Windows laptop so I could change the button commands on my Kamvas Pro 16 tablet. However, I ran into a problem once the driver finished installing. With the driver installed my pen doesn't line up correctly with the cursor. This makes drawing very difficult. The cursor changed shape as well. It used to be a star shape. Now it looks like the pointer arrow on my laptop. I uninstalled the driver and it went back to normal, but it didn't save the changes I made to the buttons. Does anyone know of a way where I can keep the driver installed and fix my pen so it aligns correctly? I added some videos to help you understand the problem. The first video shows how the cursor looked before without the driver. Notice how the pen tip aligns with cursor. The second video shows how the cursor looked with the driver. Notice how the pen tip doesn't align with cursor. Thank you.

  • Hi Lindsey, I'm sorry about the cursor alignment you are experiencing when the driver is installed. Typically, this happens when the driver installation was not properly installed or set. Moreover, it is normal to have an arrow pointer when the driver is installed. May I know which tablet driver versions have you installed?

    Kindly try the following steps:

    1. Uninstall the driver, and ensure you don't have any other tablet drivers installed on your computer. Having multiple tablet drivers can cause conflict, resulting to problems with the driver's functionality. Thus, please uninstall all tablet drivers. You can refer to these steps on how to properly uninstall your tablet driver: How to Uninstall Version 15 Driver (Windows) or Three Methods to Uninstall Huion Drivers from Windows 7.
    2. Download the latest driver version for your tablet from this link: Huion Download Center
    3. Disconnect your tablet from your computer, turn off your antivirus, and close all your art programs. Install the driver by following the steps in this article: How to Install Huion Drivers on Windows.
    4. Open the driver and when you see "Device disconnected", connect your tablet to your computer. When it detects your tablet, go to "Settings" > "General" tab > click "Administrator Privileges" when you see it. If you don't, your driver has the necessary access to your computer so you can go ahead and test your tablet on your drawing program.
    5. If needed, you can also calibrate your tablet by following this article: How To Calibrate Your Pen Display?
