USB-C Thuderbolt - Kamvas 16 Pro Premium

Is it possible to connect the Huion Kamvas 16 Pro Premium tablet on a single USB-C - USB-C cable to the Thunderbolt (USB-C) input on the MacBook Pro?

  • Hi Wojciech Zatorski, thank you for contacting us. I am sorry to inform that full featured USB-C cable is not compatible with Kamvas 16 Pro Premium.

  •  In that case, which model of graphics tablet (16", 2.5 K) has the ability to connect with a single USB-C to USB-C cable?

  • Hi Wojciech Zatorski, thank you for getting back to us. Kamvas Pro 16 2.5K/ Kamvas Pro 16 4K/ Kamvas Pro 16 Plus 4K support the full featured USB-C cable connection.

  • Hi there. I have been trying to set up my tablet with  pc. It is quite far way and I got a type c cable 10 ft.  The specs for the cable are

"Fasgear USB C to Type C Cable, USB 3.1 Type C Gen 2 Fast Charge Cable, 100W Power Delivery, 10Gbps Data Transfer, 4K@60Hz Video Output, Compatible for Type-C Device."

It doesn't seem to work. I am hoping to trouble shoot this issue because there is no three in one cable long enough for what I need it for.   Thanks for your time.

  • Hi Mike, thank you for providing the brand and specs of your USB-C to USB-C cable. There are several factors you need to consider when using this type of connection:

    1. If your tablet has a USB-C to USB-C cable connection option - our product models that have this option are: Kamvas 12, Kamvas 13, Kamvas 16 (2021), Kamvas Pro 13 (2.5K), Kamvas Pro 16 (2.5K), Kamvas Pro 16 (4K), Kamvas Pro 16 Plus (4K), Kamvas 22, Kamvas 22 Plus, Kamvas 24, Kamvas 24 Plus, Kamvas Pro 24 (4K). Which model do you have?
    2. If your computer's USB-C can handle display connection - not all USB-C ports have display capability. Kindly check your computer specification if it supports USB3.1 GEN1 data transfer protocol and DP1.2 Alt mode.
    3. If your USB-C cable can handle display connection - same with the USB-C ports, not all USB-C to USB-C cables have display connection capability. But based on the cable information you provided, I believe it supports display connection.

This leaves us with your tablet model and computer port capability. If you're not sure which model you have, kindly provide the first 5-digits of your tablet's serial number. You can find it at the back of your tablet, and it starts with S/N. And kindly provide your computer model as well so I can check it for you. If you are using a custom-built desktop, kindly provide your graphics card model instead.

  • Hi there. Good morning.  I have a Kamvas Pro 16 (2.5K).  Model number GT 1602.   My motherboard is a MPG X570 GAMING PLUS.   It looks like the C port on the back is USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A + C That was all I could find.  The spec sheet is here.  would an adapter maybe work? I have currently ordered 3 extensions for the 3 in one.  I have to say its not ideal. Thanks for your help really.  Even two type c connections would be better.  I have more ports in the front.  Another C and a couple of usb 3 i think.

  • Hi Mike, thank you for the information. I'm sorry but I can't seem to find your computer's spec sheet. May you please provide the specific model instead?

Since you have the Kamvas Pro 16 (2.5K), your tablet has the USB-C to USB-C connectivity capability. This leaves us with the computer port.

Does your computer have a dedicated graphics card, aside from the integrated one in the motherboard? If it does, kindly check if the graphics card has a USB-C port. If it doesn't, sadly, you can't use a USB-C to USB-C cable connection. Moreover, the Type C ports in front won't be able to handle display connection.

Using extensions for the 3-in-2 cable may result to connectivity issues. Is there a way you can position your PC closer to your tablet?

  • Hi there. I did get the C port into my video card.   I have the display up and running extending the display. Now the pen only works with the other display.. Not on the tablet. The pen works more like a mouse.

  • Update. Got it all set up with the one C cable. Straight to the video card. Changed the workspace settings and now we are good to go. Thanks for all your help talking me thru this. It was a challenge but Worth it. All the best to you. Take care.

  • Hi Mike, I am glad that you were able to set your tablet up with the Type-C cable. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you need any assistance. Have a productive day!
