Will an HDMI mini to usb-c cable work for 2019 Kamvas 16?

I just bought a 2019 Kamvas 16 off of marketplace today, it works great so far. The only issue is that I want to use it with my laptop as well, but my HDMI port is on one side of my laptop and my USB port is on the other. Since this model of Kamvas doesn’t have a USB-c port, could I use an HDMI mini to USB-c cable to connect to my laptop instead? Thanks I’m advance.
