Not working on MacOS Big Sur

Driver stopped working on MacOS Big Sur. The update is out now for recent macs. 

The Driver will always say it's disconnected no matter if the tablet service is restarted or the latest driver is re-installed.

It's not my tablet because it works as expected on Windows.

  • Hi @Orliza Amodia! I didn't get "system" and "wheel" in my permissions after installing 12.1.1. I do have it in my other apps so I think it is a problem with the installer.


    Also, with 12.1.1, the mouse hover doesn't work, the mouse click doesn't work. But if I touch the tablet with the pen, it changes the mouse position. That is all it does.


    Please see the attached for the permissions.

  • I have MacBook Pro with the latest update MacOS Big Sur my kamvis pro 16 still no signal ...  The update is out now for recent Macs 

    The Driver will always say it's disconnected no matter if the tablet service is restarted or the latest driver is re-installed, iv'e bought it yesterday and I'm really disappointed,  now tell me what should I do huion ?


  • Hi mikaela irene, I've noticed that the HuionDriver is just a folder and not an application and the size is zero:


    This is the reason why you don't have the necessary settings. Please try to uninstall all tablet-related applications (whether from us or other brands) and delete all tablet-related files and folders and follow the instructions provided in the PDF file previously provided again. It is also better to restart your computer after the you uninstall and delete all tablet-related apps, files, and folders so you can start from scratch.


    If this does not work, please take a video that captures your tablet driver, your Security & Privacy settings, and what happens when you try to use your tablet on your computer. Then send it to service@huion.com to be further assisted.

  • Hi Natsumi, kindly refer to this article that can help resolve your issue: What to Do If Your Huion Pen Display Shows A Black Screen or No Signal. Since our 3-in-1 cable has the HDMI and the regular USB, you may need to use an adapter to connect it to your computer and make sure the HDMI is connected to a Thunderbolt port.

  • Hi @Orliza Amodia, I uninstalled HuionDriver, restarted my computer, and reinstalled it. Still the same problem. I also do not have any other tablet-related software or driver on my Macbook.


    I've opened a ticket and sent Youtube videos of the installation process and what happens when I plug in my tablet. I hope this will be fixed soon.

  • Hello, my name is Matias, I have a problem with the latest huion NEW 1060 PLUS tablet driver (8192), I installed the latest version of the drivers on my mac, the tablet appears as connected but does not detect the pen, my system is BIG SUR 12.2.3

    somebody could help me? Or should I ask for a refund?

  • Could anyone find a solution? I have a NEW 1060 PLUS 8192 tablet that works fine on Windows but not Mac os Big Sur 11.2.3 I followed the prompts as shown on the page but the tablet does not respond, the button lights turn on when I bring the pen closer but the pen does not respond there is no movement or pressure

  • I have a 1060 Plus on a new M1 Mac running Big Sur, and after uninstalling, reinstalling, and rebooting a number of times, I found two things that seem to help me, but your results may vary:


    1. Run the v. 12.05 driver from the website AND the latest driver

    2. Try a few different cables. I've had an otherwise good cable not work with this tablet for some reason.

    3. Be absolutely sure your pen is charged (mine is the rechargeable kind)

    4. Sometimes it works fine even when the latest driver software still says the tablet isn't connected. I can draw with it and use it fine, I just can't tweak it with the software package.

    5. Make sure even the sub-programs are included in permissions. You might have to go to the HuionTablet.app in Finder, right-click and show package contents, then add whatever is missing. See pic below. I also have added the HuionTablet App itself, but that doesn't seem to make a difference.

  • Hi. I have a GT-220 V2(2048) which was running fine on my previous mac, a mac pro running Mojave.


    I am now trying to use it on a new M1 mac mini, running Big Sur.


    When I have no driver installed, I can use it in a very basic way (the stylus buttons don't work and the pressure sensitivity does not seem to work).


    I tried installing the 12.0.5 driver which is the latest one listed for this model, but the stylus then does not work at all.

    I also tried 14.6.0.210128 and 14.4.5 drivers but with no luck.

    Finally I tried the 12.1.1 driver given on this thread, but this also does not work (the cursor is displaced from the stylus and will not draw any lines).


    Is there any way of making this pen display work?

  • Hi, I am having problems getting my GT-220 V2(2048) to work on Big Sur, on an M1 mac mini.


    Without any driver installed, the pen display works in a basic way (I can draw lines but the stylus buttons don't work and there is no pressure sensivity).

  • Instalé la última versión del software pero mi tableta aún no funciona ... no reconoce la presión del lápiz o los botones de la tableta.

    Realice los pasos como se explica en las instrucciones pero no hay respuesta.

     

  • Hi Matiascazuza, kindly answer the following questions so we would have a better idea on your tablet's condition:

    1. Does the tablet's light turn on when you press the tablet's buttons?
    2. Does the tablet's light turn on when you tap the pen on the tablet's work area surface?
    3. Does the tablet driver indicate whether the tablet is connected or not? Does it show "Device connected"?
    4. Are you able to move the mouse cursor when you use your pen on your tablet?


    Please follow the steps below:

    1. Properly uninstall the tablet driver and make sure there are no other tablet drivers installed on your computer, whether from us or other brands. Having multiple tablet drivers will cause issues on your tablet and driver's performance. You can check on this by opening your applications and your activity monitor.
    2. After you've uninstalled all tablet drivers, restart your computer.
    3. Install the latest driver version for your tablet again and after you open the tablet driver, make sure that it detects your tablet as connected. 
    4. Add HuionTablet and TabletDriverAgent apps to your Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility. Just follow the steps to install the driver from this article which I've provided previously: How to Install Huion Driver on MacOS
    5. If reinstalling the driver does not resolve your issue and if the tablet driver does not recognize your tablet as connected, try using a different cable.
    6. If you have access to another computer, please try using your tablet on a different computer.
