Writing to a PDF

I am on Mac.

I would like to be able to edit and freehand write on a PDF file, as I can do with SMART Ink, on a SMARTBoard.

Any ideas?

  • Hi @wheresteddynow, may I know what software are you using to open the PDF file? If you open your PDF file in Microsoft Word, for example, you can turn on the Draw menu in MS Word and be able to write on freehand in it. Usually, the Draw Menu automatically activates when you have your tablet connected to your computer and the tablet driver has been installed. If you don't see the Draw Menu, you can manually add it by going to: File > Options > Customize Ribbon > then check the Draw menu from the list on the right hand column.

  • Hi @wheresteddynow, just an update, I ran across a Help article in Adobe and found this:

I hope this will help you be able to draw on Adobe Acrobat. Here's the link to the entire article:  https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/commenting-pdfs.html

  • Hi Yuan Ryle Orcullo, you may need to uninstall then reinstall the driver. Kindly refer to these articles:
