Linux drivers do not show controls, cannot calibrate, pen doesn't work - ubuntu 22.10
Ubtuntu 22.10
Kamvas 13 pro (GT-133)
Driver versions tested: 15.0.0.89, 15.0.0.121
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I installed the recommended driver, and the device was correctly recognized. I configured as a second display and it's aligned correctly under the main display/monitor.
However, the pen is "trapped" within the main display. It doesn't show on the tablet itself.
After I uninstalled the recommended driver, and installed the latest version, the same thing happened.
Yes I rebooted, etc.
On top of this, it's impossible to calibrate the monitor, as the control itself is not there.
Other controls are missing, too.
See the following pictures.

Any way to work around this? The tablet is unusable with Ubuntu as it is.
Sorry one picture was missing. Here in Windows the "Monitor calibration" button shows correctly.
I also updated the firmware to version M182_190116. No difference.
Hi Unaligned Coder, thank you for providing the necessary information. We continue improving our Linux driver and has taken this into consideration. Sadly, we currently don't have an estimated timeframe when the missing features will be available. Hoping for your patience and understanding in this matter.
About the issue with your working area, may I know if this is your tablet screen?

Thank you for your answer. Yes it is the tablet.
Not sure why, it looks black.
I looks black in the tablet settings, but in reality it shows the same background as the main display, and it is aligned to be under it.
It can be normally operated as a second monitor, including dragging apps there.
But, I had to 'flip' it in the 'DIsplay' applet to align it correctly.
Hi Unaligned Coder, thank you for your reply. May I know your computer's desktop environment protocol? Also, kindly update your computer graphics driver, restart your computer, and check if this will resolve your issue.

I am on Ubuntu-cinnamon, if that's what you were asking. 22.10. Nvidia driver 390. The latest I could use for my laptop is 418, but I had some problems with it, so i reverted back to 390.
Hi Unaligned Coder, I have forwarded the information to our Technical Department but they need the windowing system of your Ubuntu distribution. May you please refer to the screenshot below and provide us with the same:

Like I said, I am using Cinnamon Ubuntu. So when I login it says "Cinnamon".
Hi Unaligned Coder, is your Ubuntu Cinnamon running on X11 windowing protocol? If it's not, may I know which protocol is it on?

It's on Lightdm.
Ubuntu 22.10 - Cinnamon - Lightdm - Nvidia driver 390. Hope this helps.
Hi Unaligned Coder, thank you. May you kindly provide your tablet's firmware version? You can find it in Settings > Device tab.

I am also waiting for the "Monitor Calibration" button to be added to the Linux application. Without this, the "dot" is a few millimeters off from where the pen is actually pointed.
Kamvas 22, on Fedora (actually Nobara,) Plasma on X11, installed with the alternate tar file, 15.0.0.89. Works other than calibration, but the miscalibration makes it unusable.
Huion, please fix this, or release the Linux code open source so that other people can fix it.
