Huion Kamvas Pro 13 (2.5K) 2mm offset on 40% off active area
I recently bought a Huion Kamvas Pro 13 (2.5K) and experienced some problems.
When I move my pen tip towards the edges, as soon as I get closer to any edge than about 24 mm, the pen position jumps around 2 mm from the expected position. The actual offset (distance as well as direction) seems to be dependent on tilt direction of the pen and which edge is closest. Along a single edge with constant pen tilt, the offset stays pretty consistent in this region. Also, when I put my pen down in any region of constant offset, and drag it into and through any of the other regions, the offset of the initial region–where the pen made its first contact–will be accurately maintained as if this issue was only a miscalibration on the whole tablet.
I tried to find a solution in the manual, on the support pages and on the general internet, with no success. I cannot imagine, that this issue is in the accepted tolerances from Huion, since the calibration points of the driver's monitor calibration are inside the region that tends to be effected in my case.
On a screen this size, this means that almost 40% of the active area are effected and practically unusable for many drawing, painting and other use cases. This is certainly not industry standard. I own two other graphic displays (an integrated one in my convertible notebook and another one by Huion) and neither have offset issues to that extent. All offset issues are only close to the corners–around 5-10 mm distance–or very close to the edge–about 2-5 mm in this case.
I hope that we can find a solution. This seems to be–at least partially–a software problem.
Best regards, David
