Parsec functionality


I recently been using my huion kamvas 22 plus with parsec with no issue. Recently however I came across issues and was surprised to see Parsec doesn't work with our drawing tablets. I hope this will be implemented because it doesn't make sense for it not to work anymore or at all for some people.

  • Hi Javier, I'm sorry, we don't have an update on this. Kindly coordinate with Parsec to check if they can update their software to accept compatibility with tablet devices. I regret to inform you that we don't have an estimated date when our devices will be compatible with this software. Your patience and understanding are highly appreciated.

  • Hi Orliza, Thanks for your fast reply. I don't think It is my work coordinate anything with Parsec. I can see a lot of messages demanding this in the Huion page.

    I did fix it, thanks to the help of reddit, I will just leave the answer here though, I also did send the fix to Parsec support when I managed to make it work, no idea why they didn't do anything with the info. But anyway, here it is:

    To make it work, disable the Parsec service: go into Services->Parsec->Disable. Then close Parsec (right click the icon in the taskbar, close it), and then reopen Parsec.

    That service causes Parsec to be elevated to System level, and not having it, Parsec stays user level. This does cause some issues: sound doesn't work, all mouse events are clicks (so it doesn't detect click-and-hold in games). But it works fine with the tablet.
