Kamvas 13 Keeps Disconnecting and Reconnecting
Hey there!
Recently bought the Kamvas 13 from Amazon and immediately fell in love with it but recently its been having issues staying connected. I'm using the 3-1 cable and it will start a cycle of disconnecting and reconnecting. The screen will stay on but the led light will be constantly turning off then on with the windows noise signaling a device being disconnected.
I've tried updating the driver (none available), reinstalling the driver, unplugging the tablet and plugging it back in but it always ends up doing this.
Is this a driver issue? Cable issue? Bad tablet?
Hi Felix Hartmann and Charles Banks, thank you for sharing the steps you did and your observations. I have forwarded them to our software engineers for further review. I'll let you know when I receive their response.

As an update (while I'm waiting for a new 3-in-1 cable). I tried turning off Steam, but I still get the disconnects.
I still have a number of other things running so I will try a fresh re-boot and then kill every app that doesn't need to be on and see if it still happens.
Ironically, I am a Game Developer, and wanted to used the Kamvas 13 for Game development, so obviously if it's incompatible with Steam or Steam games then it's not going to be much use for me
This is an annoying workaround but when I open my task manager, and end the process for "Huion Tablet" then move my mouse around the huion icon on the taskbar so it disappears, the tablet continues functioning fine and it does not disconnect anymore. Let me know if this works for you.
Thanks Victor Do. I'm trying that now.
Hi Victor Do. Your workaround seems to work for me!
I killed the Huion Tablet process in task manager and then like you said, I had to wave my mouse over the taskbar icon to get rid of it. I've had the Tablet on all day and it's stopped doing the disconnects.
It still seems to function OK without the tablet software running (although of course you can't change any settings)
So it looks like the issue (well my issue at least) is related to the Huion Tablet app itself.
Thank You Victor!
That's great to hear, I'm just curious but if you check your task manager, do you notice these 3 things?
Hi I am having these same problems on my Huion 13 as well.
Victor Do's suggestion of ending the huion task in task manager might seem to work, will wait a bit more and report on my findings.
Something of note i can add is that opening and starting a game (in my case, genshin impact) can force the huion to disconnect and reconnect, sometimes only once, sometimes it will repeatedly.
Hi Mike Chernett, Victor Do and Sculpz, thank you for sharing the steps you've tried and your observations. Every time you launch the tablet driver, do you see the "Administrator privileges" at the bottom of the driver panel such as below?
If you do, please make sure to always click it and check if you still encounter the disconnection issue. By clicking on the said button above, it gives the driver the necessary access to your computer. In this case, make the "TabletDriverCore.exe" gain the needed access so it can run properly.
We would appreciate it if you can check if clicking the said button will resolve the disconnection issue, even if you don't end the Huion Tablet from Task Manager so I can forward your feedback to our software engineers.

Hello Huion,
I tried clicking the Administrator Privileges and granting the requested access in Windows, but I still get the disconnects.

I only have one instance of HuionTablet in Startup, and one TabletDriverCore.exe
Hi Mike Chernett, thank you for the update. Kindly try the Win10_Driver_14.8.153 version which you can download from this link: Huion Win10_Driver_14.8.153 Version. It's ok if this is listed under the Kamvas 22 series; this will still work on Kamvas 13. Please remember that whenever you see the "Administrator privileges" button, please click on it. I look forward for your feedback on whether this driver version solves your disconnection problem.

Tried the above driver. Seems a lot better. In about the 50 minutes i have tried the new driver and allowing admin privileges, it only disconnect and reconnect once when I started up Firefox and a bunch of tabs (Memory intensive operation caused this disconnect and reconnect maybe?)
Steps:
Open device manager and uninstall huion HID driver,
Went to add and remove programs to uninstall huion app
restart
download and install Huion Win10_Driver_14.8.153 Version
Set admin privileges
Hmm nevermind, starting to get disconnect and reconnect now
Hi Sculpz, thank you for the update and I will inform our software engineers. Kindly provide your tablet's serial number, excluding the last 5 digits. Example: A6DE6SHxxxxx. Just don't include the digits after "SH".
Hi Victor Do, Mike Chernett, Charles Banks, and Felix Hartmann, kindly provide your tablet's serial number as well, excluding the last 5 digits, those after "SH".
