Kamvas 13 Keeps Disconnecting and Reconnecting
Hey there!
Recently bought the Kamvas 13 from Amazon and immediately fell in love with it but recently its been having issues staying connected. I'm using the 3-1 cable and it will start a cycle of disconnecting and reconnecting. The screen will stay on but the led light will be constantly turning off then on with the windows noise signaling a device being disconnected.
I've tried updating the driver (none available), reinstalling the driver, unplugging the tablet and plugging it back in but it always ends up doing this.
Is this a driver issue? Cable issue? Bad tablet?
Update: So I tested it on a 2nd Windows 10 PC and I get the exact same thing.
It's fine for about 10min to an hour, then a multiple disconnect cycle, screen stays on, green power light flashes and multiple windows USB connect "bings"
Unfortunately I don't have a PC with a compatible USB3.1 port to test if that does the same thing (I think it needs to be one on the GPU not the motherboard right?)
I'm going to pay for the shipping for a new 3-in-one cable and I'll report back here if that fixes the issue.
Thankfully, according to my Amazon order page, I've got an extended order return up to the 31st January. I like the tablet otherwise, but if I can't fix this problem I'm going to have to send it back.

Hi Mike Chernett, thank you for posting your test updates. From the details of your issue that you've mentioned, we have determined that your issue is caused by the 3-in-1 cable. We would appreciate to see your updates when you receive the replacement cable.

I am having the same issue, but connecting with the official USB C cable that I also purchased, not the three in one cable.

Hi BENJAMIN FEINBERG, when you use your 3-in-1 cable, do you not encounter any connection issues? If you only have the connection issue when using the USB-C to USB-C cable, we will have to check if the cable you received is defective or not. Thus, kindly send the same information as advised above to service@huion.com so we can check further. Thank you!

Did anyone get a fix for this or did you have to return the tablet?

I have this exact same problem, I have submitted a ticket and received a 3 in 1 cable but the problem is still there. I have ended the Huion Tablet task in the task manager and the tablet still works and the disconnections seem to have stopped but this is very weird. I would like to know if anybody has found a better solution.
The tablet just froze again, I will probably return it or hopefully I can get a replacement.
I believe this is a driver issue. I was doing fine until a recent windows 10 update and as soon as it was done, I get the same issue everyone is talking about here. I have tried everything I can think of to no avail. I believe something in the update has screwed the driver up.
Hi Victor Do, may I know the version of the driver you are using? Please try the Driver_14.8.166.1482_HID if you are not using this version. Please refer to the links below:
If you still encounter the same issue even after properly reinstalling the driver and using the latest driver version, please reply to your ticket so we can assist you further.

Hi Charles Banks, yes, it is possible that the issue is caused by the driver. Thus, it is best to use the latest driver version. But if using the latest driver do not resolve your issue, it is possible that the issue is caused by the 3-in-1 cable, provided that your computer ports don't have any issues either. It is also best to make sure that your computer's USB ports have the latest USB driver as well.

Same Issue here. The Kamvas 13 2020 keeps disconnecting and reconnecting.
I tried out several things and found out that it only happens when almost no other programs are running. So it works for me, if I don't open anything else than my drawing software.
There seem to be a lot of programs causing this disconnects, for me it was steam and every game, but it also seems to include some anti-mailware-software and clipstudio paint, but i can't confirm this. Everytime the Tablet disconnects Win32k reports Event ID 263 "a pointer device has no information about the monitor it is attached to". Also weird is that the Tablet creates an extra HID-compliant device and an USB Input Device, when it disconnects, Windows sorts them under "WPM USB" separate from the Tablet Monitor in Device Manager. This drivers are inactive, when the tablet works as intended and uninstalling them doesn't affect the tablet at all, but they get recreatet everytime.

Ok, kinda followed Felix's lead here. The only things that loads up on my laptop that I use for the tablet are GOG Galaxy, Epic Launcher, and Steam. Turned them all off and my tablet had no issue. Started turning them back on, one at a time, and all was fine until I got to Steam. Turned Steam off and no problem again. Started it back up, problems again. Steam seems to be the issue, for me at least. Give it a try peoples. I know most have Steam. I guess next is to see if there is a setting causing this and to maybe contact Steam to see what might be causing this with their software. Thanks for the suggestion, Felix.
