pen isn't working. non-battery pen, kamvas pro 13

The pen will not work on my tablet no matter what I  do. 

I have tried changing the nib, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest huion driver. 

I have had this tablet (pen came in the box with the tablet) less than a month and it has been working perfectly until about 3 hours ago.  it was working fine then within a second it just stopped and nothing I do seems to get the tablet to recognise the pen (or the other way round...I don't really know how it works)


can anyone please help?

  • Hi Painted Lady-boy, thank you for reporting your pen issue. Since you've already tried reinstalling the driver, kindly try using your pen without the driver. If it works, then the issue is with the driver. If it still doesn't work, it may be caused by either a defective pen or defective tablet. I will convert this forum post into a ticket and we will continue troubleshooting from there.

  • I have exactly the same problem but i cant use the pen without a driver I mean it works but there is no pressure sensitivity and so on

  • Hi Leon, may I know the version of the tablet driver you installed and your computer's operating system? Kindly try using the latest driver for your tablet from this link: Huion Kamvas Pro 13 Tablet Display Drivers


    Reminder:

    • Make sure there are no other tablet drivers installed on your computer, whether from Huion or other brands.
    • Make sure your properly uninstall your tablet driver either from the Control Panel or by clicking on the Uninstall program; do not just delete or drag the driver to your trash.
    • After uninstalling the previously installed driver, restart your computer and unplug your tablet from your computer.
    • After restarting, turn off your antivirus and do not open any drawing programs. Then install the driver.
    • Only connect your tablet after your driver has been successfully installed.

  • Yeah I did everything you said but the pen stopped working again after installing the driver

    I work on my macbook pro with mac OS 10.15.5 and I installed Driver_14.4.4.200417

  • Hi Leon, thank you for the information. May you please check if you have added the necessary apps to your whitelist? You can check out Steps #3 and 4 of this article: How to Install Huion Driver on MacOS. You may want to uninstall and reinstall the driver again and start from the beginning.   • Hi,
    I have the same issue with my Kamvas pro 20 (2019). 
    I draw on it since 2 years now, and suddenly yesterday the pen didn't work anymore.
    I've try to change nib / unplug and plug the Hdmi and Usb /desinstall to see if the pen works ( but no) reinstall the latest version of the driver ( HuionTablet_WinDriver_v15.3.19.174 but still not working) .
    I work on a PC MSI


    any help?

  • Hi Antoine Petit, I'm sorry to know that. Thank you for providing the details and the steps you've done so far. Since the pen won't work even without the driver, then the issue is not with the driver. When you reinstalled the driver, does it detect your tablet as connected? If it does, then your driver is all good.


    At this point, we would need to test your pen using our QC software. Kindly send the following information to service@huion.com so we can send the software and the instructions on how to perform the test:

    • Serial number (found at the back of your tablet, right after S/N)
    • The version of the tablet driver you've installed
    • Your computer operating system and version (Example: Windows 10)
    • Add a note that you've had your tablet for 2 years now and the steps you've done so far. 
    • You can also add a note that you have been advised to send the above information from the forum post to be tested using our QC software.

  • Hello I just bought my Huion Kamvas 13 a few months ago and the pen doesn't work anymore. I tried uninstalling the driver already but it didn't work. There are times that my pen would work but as soon as I restart my computer, it would stop working again.
  • Hi Sora Proxima, I'm sorry to know about your pen not working. Since you've already tried using your tablet without the driver and even restarting your computer, please send the following to service@huion.com so we can further test your hardware using our QC software:

    • Serial number (found at the back of your tablet, right after S/N)
    • Order number
    • Your computer operating system
    • Version/s of the tablet driver you've installed
    • A summary of all steps you've tried
